Henley Finance is co-sponsoring the Winter Sporting Supper of Henley Rugby Football Club, set for February 2, 2018. The news was released from London on January 29, 2018. The club is based in Henley on Thames and is home to the Henley Hawks.
Guest speakers at the supper include Ollie Phillips, one of the most successful players England sevens has had. Phillips is also a businessman, a Guinness World Record holder, a round-the-world yachtsman and an expedition leader. Comedian Adger Brown, one of the most in-demand comics in the South, will attend as well.
Henley Finance often backs local events. In the past it has sponsored the Henley Regatta and local racing driver Olly Bryant. It also supported the Beechdean Aston Martin team at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This time it shares sponsorship with Chesterton Commercial.
Richard Butler Creagh founded the company in 2013 to help people find a loan that suits their needs. It specializes in bridging finance, delivered as quickly as possible to professional property developers.
Butler Creagh said the firm is happy to support the rugby club this year, since the club plays such an important role in Henley on Thames. He added that he expects a great evening and wants to make the most of the club’s new banqueting facilities.
The club has had a strong year. It recently finished Phase Two of its building work, which gives it the best facilities in its league. On the field, the Hawks kept a solid squad from last season and also added some talented new players. They currently sit 6th in National League 2 South. The Women’s Hawks are doing well too, in 3rd place, and they now hope to add a second team and a junior girls team.
With good results on the pitch and new buildings off it, the club has plenty to celebrate at the supper. Because of strong demand, organizers raised capacity, and more than 200 guests are now expected. The evening will honor sporting excellence in Henley and raise money for the club. The two previous dinners were big successes, and their proceeds went to the club and local charities.
