The City of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, has chosen OpenGov to modernize how it works. The software company announced the deal from Redwood City, California, on August 5, 2020. OpenGov makes cloud software for government budgeting, community development and financial management. Through the partnership, the city wants its staff to work more efficiently. At the same time, it hopes to give residents better and more convenient services.
Mike Mattson, an OpenGov vice president, said the company was thrilled to add Oconomowoc to its growing list of partners. He also hopes OpenGov can help the city open a new era of technology as it takes on its challenges. In his view, the city’s commitment to better processes is clear. As a result, OpenGov is excited to help it deliver for both residents and employees.
After this deal, Oconomowoc is one of more than a thousand government organizations using OpenGov. The company builds its cloud software for the public sector alone. For Oconomowoc, the tools are meant to build trust with residents and also bring the city’s reporting up to date.
OpenGov serves state agencies and local governments across the country. Its products cover budgeting, finance and community development, while every one is built for public-sector clients. According to the company, its more than 1,000 customers use them to plan better and work more efficiently. They also rely on the software to engage the public through closer collaboration and transparency.
