Modern Recording Studio Opens in Patchogue, NY

Musicians on Long Island have a new place to record. House of Sound Recording Studio has opened at 699 South Country Road in East Patchogue, New York. The doors opened at the start of the new year.

The studio was built from scratch. Its control rooms are acoustically treated for clean sound. The whole building is fitted with the latest hardware, computers and monitors, so it can handle whatever clients need. There is also a multi-purpose room for podcast recording, photography and video editing.

The owners say House of Sound is the first studio of its kind in the area. The idea is that artists can clear their heads in a modern, elegant setting before they record. Knowledgeable assistants look after every client, so sessions stay relaxed and free of stress.

Michael Cushion Jr. is the studio’s president. He is best known as CEO of Mikes Mix and Master. The company describes it as the top audio mixing and mastering service in the country. Cushion said that for many years his main goal has been to help clients succeed in music. He believes the studio will give local musicians the tools and openings they need to chase their dreams.

The studio sits less than a mile west of Bellport Village. It is also about four minutes east of Patchogue Village. It is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 2 a.m. Meanwhile, customer service runs around the clock by phone, text and email.

Visitors start in a lounge area before heading into a recording room. After that, each artist gets a private session with one of the studio’s engineers. They handle recording, mixing and mastering, since the goal is records that can compete in the current music industry.
