Cleveland attorney Aaron Minc has been added to Marquis Who’s Who. The publisher announced the honor on December 26, 2017. Minc is known across the country for his work on internet defamation. According to Marquis, profiles are chosen by reference value. That covers position, achievements, visibility and standing in a field.
Minc began practicing law in 2010 as an attorney at Miller Goler Faeges, LLP. Since then he has moved through several firms. He spent two years at Dinn, Hochman and Potter, LLC. After that, he worked about a year and a half as of counsel at Meyers, Roman, Friedberg & Lewis. He also worked briefly at Donleys in 2011. From 2011 to 2014 he was a partner at Sennett Fisher, LLC. Today he is the principal of his own practice, Minc LLC.
His training came from two Ohio schools. He earned a bachelor of science in finance at Miami University, with a focus on entrepreneurship and business law. Then, in 2010, he finished his law degree cum laude at Case Western Reserve School of Law.
Minc is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States. He can also appear in Ohio state courts and in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio.
Even early on, his work drew recognition. He was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2014 and received an Avvo Superb rating in 2013. In 2017 he also won the Martindale-Hubbell Gold Client Champion Award.
Much of his writing deals with life online. He covers revenge porn, social media privacy, business reputation and the removal of defamatory content. He also writes the Defamation Removal Law Blog. His articles have run in Search Engine Journal, in the bar journal of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and in the law review of the Case Western Reserve University School of Law. Reporters at The Washington Post, The Guardian, Time, CNET, The Hollywood Reporter and the New York Post have cited his expertise.
Minc speaks often, too. He has given talks on online reputation, contract law and negotiation. Venues include the Jackson Lewis Akron Employment Law Conference and the BULL Series of the Chester County Pennsylvania Bar Association. Outside the courtroom, he has served on the board of the Cleveland Jewish News since 2014. He also mentors founders at Bizdom and LaunchHouse. He belongs to the Ohio State Bar Association and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.
