Largest Network of Christian Business Advisory Groups Announces Further Expansion in Northeast Florida

The C12 Group is growing again in Northeast Florida. Since it has groups across the U.S., it calls itself the largest Christian business advisory network in the country. On January 3, 2018, the group said Brett Kirkland had joined as a new Chair for the region.

C12 first arrived in Northeast Florida in October 2014. At that point Bob Shallow was named Managing Chair for the area. Vaughan Robison followed as a second Chair in August 2017, and Kirkland is now the third. Thanks to the new hire, more Christian owners and executives in the region can get business counsel. They also gain a trusted peer advisory group and ministry development.

Shallow said he was delighted to bring Kirkland into the C12 family. He praised his background in marketplace ministry, his executive record and his advanced business degree. Kirkland also wants to help Christian owners build great businesses for a greater purpose, so Shallow expects him to be a strong asset.

Kirkland has more than 25 years of experience in leadership, executive work and marketplace ministry. He served as a Division Director for Marketplace Chaplains. Before that, he was President and CEO of Food Bank of Southwest Georgia. Troy State University awarded him both of his degrees, a bachelor’s in business administration and a master’s in management.

In his new role, Kirkland said, he wants to equip and encourage business leaders. Many of them hope to glorify God in their work and in their lives. His passion is helping companies line up with their mission and values. As a result, he believes they can earn more, build winning cultures and lift their markets.

Kirkland will chair the C12 Clay Meeting of C12 Northeast Florida. Once a month, the group meets at Talons in Eagle Harbor Golf Club. Sessions run on the third Thursday of every month, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The C12 Group was founded in 1992. It runs executive roundtables for Christian CEOs and business owners. Its stated mission is to change the world by advancing the Kingdom of God in the marketplace.
