Staffing firm Kyyba Inc. has been named Best Creatives at the NHRD HR Showcase 2017 in Bangalore, India. The prize recognized its work in diversity and inclusion, and in particular a program called Supplier Diversity Model – Gesture Beyond Business. The award was announced on December 6, 2017, after an event that honors companies for major contributions to HR.
Nikita, director of Kyyba India, said this was the company’s first award in India. It also came at a very large forum. Kyyba was judged the winner among multinational companies in its category. She said she was proud of the team’s hard work and glad that its diversity efforts had been recognized. She also thanked Kyyba leaders Thiru Ganesan and Tel Ganesan for their support and guidance. Because NHRD gives companies a place to share best practices, the team already plans to return next year.
About the showcase
It is the NHRD Bangalore Chapter’s signature event. It gives companies a stage to present HR excellence, from fresh thinking about concepts and culture to practical changes with business impact. This year there were four categories.

- Building an inclusive workforce
- HR Leadership in a Digital Age
- HR as a Profit Center, Enabler or Strategic HRBP.
Kyyba’s practices have helped the business grow while also strengthening its social commitment. Judges and visitors praised its work to support minority groups. They also noted that 56 percent of its leadership team are women.
The Kyyba booth drew a big crowd of HR professionals and leaders. Visitors also came from the education sector, and students from well-known institutes stopped by. The two-day conference featured talks by Mrinalini Mirchandani, partner at McKinsey & Company, S. Vaitheeswaran, MD and CEO of Manipal Education, and Sushma Rajagopalan, MD and CEO of ITC Infotech. Panels and networking sessions focused on how HR should move from an enabling partner to a strategic one.
Shiji Nambiar, HR manager at Kyyba Inc., thanked the NHRD organizing committee of Gargi Verma, Anish Philip and Charles Herlufson. She praised them for a trade-show style event where HR teams could present their strongest practices.
