HELLAS PROMOTES SAULO HERNANDEZ TO CHIEF ESTIMATOR

Hellas Construction, the largest sports construction company in the United States, has named Saulo Hernandez its new Chief Estimator. The Austin, Texas, firm announced the promotion on February 2, 2018.

In his new job, Hernandez will lead and coach a team of estimators. That team prices the parts, services and labor that go into every Hellas sports construction project.

Hernandez joined Hellas in April 2016 as an estimator. After only a year, he moved up to Senior Estimator. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Polytechnic University, and he also has an EIT certification license from the College of Engineers and Surveyors.

Hellas President and CEO Reed J. Seaton said Hernandez has played a key role in the company’s ongoing success. He added that Hernandez brings a passion and drive that the company finds truly refreshing.

For his part, Hernandez said he loves his work because it is both demanding and interesting. The quick pace, he noted, has made him more organized, faster and more efficient. He said he has learned a great deal about sports construction since joining. He also said he hopes to spend many more years at Hellas, working on many more exciting projects.

Hellas Construction is based in Austin and ranks among the largest sports construction contractors in the country. While its specialty is general construction of sports facilities and synthetic surfaces, it also makes artificial turf. In addition, it handles base construction, plus the planning, installation and upkeep of fields, tracks and tennis courts.

The company is the Official Turf Provider of the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium, The Star in Frisco, Texas, and Ford Center. It is also the Preferred Turf Provider of the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium. In Florida, Hellas is the exclusive turf supplier for the Jacksonville Jaguars’ new indoor practice facility at Daily’s Place, next to EverBank Field.
