Author Garry Graham’s New Book, “The Sons in His Eyes”, is a Devastating True Story of Lost Childhood, Unfathomable Hardship, and New Life for Two Brothers in Alaska

Garry Graham, a survivalist and author who lives in Redding, California, has completed his book The Sons in His Eyes. Page Publishing shared the news on February 8, 2018. The book tells the true story of two young boys from California who were raised by their criminal father in the Alaskan wilderness.

The family lived in the Denali Mountains near Nenana, Alaska. Their home was so remote that it could be reached only by boat, snowmobile or airplane.

For years, the father made the boys work for him as unpaid laborers. They grew up in harsh arctic conditions and learned how to survive there, but the isolation took a toll. In time, the brothers became outcasts with criminal tendencies of their own.

Eventually the two left the mountains and settled in Fairbanks. Soon after, they learned that their father had been murdered while they were away. The killing was never solved and remains a cold case.

According to the publisher, both brothers have since struggled with loneliness, heartbreak and loss, while the murder has shaped the rest of their lives. The story follows them from a lost childhood through extreme hardship and toward a new life.
