2018 Salt Lake Home Show Opens Friday, January 5, Featuring HGTV’s Kitchen Cousins and the Hosts of HGTV’s Flip or Flop Vegas

The 2018 Salt Lake Home Show opens on Friday, January 5, and closes on Sunday, January 7, 2018. Mountain America Credit Union is the presenting sponsor. The event takes place at the Mountain America Expo Center, which used to be called the South Towne Expo Center. Two pairs of HGTV stars will appear on the show’s Design Stage across the weekend.

The guest lineup

The first pair is Anthony Carrino and John Colaneri of HGTV’s Kitchen Cousins. The cousins both grew up working in construction, and their renovation skills and screen presence caught the network’s eye. On their show they take on tough kitchen remodels and turn them into striking, personal spaces for home cooks. Their stage times are 6:00 p.m. on Friday and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Aubrey and Bristol Marunde, the hosts of HGTV’s Flip or Flop Vegas, complete the national lineup. The married couple has made a name in the tough Las Vegas market. They do it by turning rundown houses into elegant desert homes. Their sessions are set for 4:00 p.m. on Friday, then 11:00 a.m. and again 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

What else is on the floor

One stop is a Tiny Home Village. There, visitors can see how to fit style and function into a small space. A new Smart Bathroom display comes from sponsor Prestige Bath Works. It shows a fully automated bathroom that owners control by smartphone. In addition, the Ask a Designer booth gives personal interior design advice all weekend.

Fluent Floors is sponsoring free valet parking at the expo center, though space is limited. A free shuttle also links the hall with the inContact parking structure. It runs after 5:00 p.m. on Friday and all day over the weekend.

The show address is 9575 South State Street in Sandy, Utah. Hours and ticket prices are as follows:

  • Friday, January 5: 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, January 6: 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

  • Adult tickets: $9 online, $11 at the door
  • Kids 12 and younger: free
