Child and adolescent psychiatrist Dr. Agudo, who has been affiliated with the Arizona's Children Association since 2017, one of the oldest and largest statewide comprehensive child welfare and behavioral health non-profit agencies in Arizona, brings to the organization nearly 20 years of expertise in her chosen field. Also employed as a medical officer at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center in the behavioral health department since August 2017, she first completed an MD at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines, in 1989, Degree in Psychiatry at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC, in 1996, and Degree in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Medical College of Virginia in 1998.
First entering into private practice in the Philippines and serving as a faculty member at Mindanao State University in 1998, Dr. Agudo subsequently accepted her first position in the United States as a child and adolescent psychiatrist at WellSpan Philhaven in Mount Gretna, PA, where she spent five years until 2007. Taking on a staff position as an inpatient psychiatrist for children, adolescents, and adults at St. Luke's Behavioral Health Center, she then served as an adjunct faculty member at the College of Nursing at Arizona State University from 2011 to 2015, and was a staff and inpatient psychiatrist at Arizona State Hospital from 2015 to 2016.
More recently, Dr. Agudo became a diplomate in psychiatry in 2012, and a diplomate in child and adolescent psychiatry in 2016, by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. A fellow of the American College of Ethical Physicians and the American Board of Hospital Physicians, she is also a member and fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
A practicing Catholic, Dr. Agudo has been a parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church since 2007. She has experience as an extraordinary Eucharistic minister at St. Joan of Arc Church, was an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary for several years, and is a former officer of the Rotary Club of Maria Christina in the Philippines. Spending her down time by drawing, cooking, playing the piano, and travelling, Dr. Agudo has been highlighted in every edition of Who's Who in America from 2008 to 2015, and in several editions of Who's Who of American Women.
