LOS ANGELES, Nov. 8, 2017 — Health education startup MedCircle today announced a partnership with the accrediting organization Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at the Eisenhower to offer Annenberg CME/CE learners a new digital networking platform that facilitates greater engagement between healthcare providers and patients, family members and others interested in a specific health topic.

Health education startup MedCircle and accrediting organization Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at the Eisenhower are teaming to offer Annenberg CME/CE learners a new digital networking platform that facilitates greater engagement between healthcare providers and patients, family members and others interested in a specific health topic. MedCircle is a paradigm shift for consuming and sharing health information by moving people from using random internet searches such as Google and Yahoo.

“MedCircle was created to give those seeking information on health topics a way to tap into content they can trust,” said Dr. Kapil Gupta, chief executive officer and founder of MedCircle. “With our partnership with the Annenberg Center, we provide an easy, secure way for Annenberg clinician-learners and other credentialed healthcare providers to engage with patients, patient advocates and interested consumers.”

The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at the Eisenhower Medical Center in Palm Springs, CA, is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

“As the healthcare system moves from volume-based to value-based care, engaging patients to effectively manage their health has become a priority. Through our partnership with MedCircle, the Annenberg Center can now offer our learners a trusted tool to facilitate more effective engagement with their patients and caregivers,” stated Michael Hite, president and chief executive officer at the Annenberg Center. “It enhances our educational offerings by extending the learning and providing the patient perspective within an easy to use platform of curated health information.”
