Inground pool cover company that services New Jersey, LOOP-LOC, shares four tips on holiday backyard décor.

The holidays are fast approaching. Now is the time to turn your backyard into a glorious holiday paradise with the following backyard decorating tips.

Trim an outdoor tree. If you are lucky enough to have an evergreen tree in your backyard, you can transform it into an outdoor Christmas tree. String some lights throughout the branches. Do not forget to string some of the lights among the interior and exterior branches to brighten the entire tree. Add ornaments to reflect the lights, and have the lights complement the rest of your outdoor decorations. If you do not have an evergreen tree, create your own tree of lights with a basketball pole, strings of light, gutter hooks, a tree topper, and light stakes.

Light the way. Welcome your guests to your holiday backyard paradise by using some pathway lights. Use stakes to hold light strings in place, or use starlight stakes, which are bright balls of light with adjustable stakes. They come in LED and incandescent versions in an array of colors that can enhance the rest of your outdoor decorations.

Focus on the fence. Hang some pre-lit garland or string some mini-lights on the fence. Icicle lights—which evoke the look of falling snow—are another festive option. No matter which option you choose, it will make a wonderful holiday border around the property. Place some glistening snowflakes or stars on your gate to welcome guests into your backyard.

Spell it out. Finish off the backyard by spelling out a holiday message with some mini-lights. Spaces between letters can be made with black-out caps.
