HiLin Life Products Granted National Women’s Business Enterprise Certification
“We are honored to be included in the WBENC community and to join countless other small, women-owned companies who are helping to enhance the lives of women with innovative products and services, especially where health is concerned,” said Helen Denise, founder and CEO of KNOWHEN.
NEWARK, N.J. November 14, 2017
HiLin Life Products, Inc. the maker of the FDA certified KNOWHEN® Saliva Ovulation Test and Fertility Monitor App, is proud to announce it has received national certifications as a Women’s Business Enterprise and as a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). The company originated the saliva ovulation test category in the U.S.
The Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), founded in 1997, is the largest third-party certifier of businesses owned, controlled, and operated by women in the United States.
WBENC Certification validates that the business is at least 51 percent owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a woman or women. To achieve its WBENC Certification, HiLin Life Products completed a formal documentation and site visit process. WBENC Certification gives women owned businesses the ability to compete for real-time business opportunities provided by WBENC Corporate Members and government agencies and participate in diversity programs recognized by all major retailers.
WBENC is a third party certifier for The SBA's WOSB Federal Contract Program, which provides greater access to federal contracting opportunities for WOSBs and economically-disadvantaged women-owned small businesses (EDWOSBs). The Program allows contracting officers, for the first time, to set aside specific contracts for certified WOSBs and EDWOSBs and will help federal agencies achieve the existing statutory goal of five percent of federal contracting dollars being awarded to WOSBs.
“We are honored to be included in the WBENC community and to join countless other small, women-owned companies who are helping to enhance the lives of women with innovative products and services, especially where health is concerned,” said Helen Denise, founder and CEO of KNOWHEN. For the past 15 years, it has been Denise’s sole mission to give women trying to conceive or find a reliable natural family planning solution the tools to understand their fertility cycles.
KNOWHEN is a saliva-based daily monitoring method that is different on many levels from traditional urine ovulation tests. The first technological innovation in the at-home ovulation tracking category in years, it features a mini-ovulation microscope that can be re-used daily (no expensive refills needed) to monitor the gradual increase of salts in the saliva, which correlates with estrogen level. This allows a woman to identify her 5 most fertile days per cycle. Urine-based kits do not measure estrogen, but instead track sudden and short-lived surges in luteinizing hormones, resulting in potentially less accurate results, especially for women with irregular cycles. Now women can monitor ovulation cycles daily by checking saliva and tracking them with the new KNOWHEN® Personal Fertility Monitor App 2.0.
In clinical testing in the U.S., the Ob/Gyn-recommended KNOWHEN has been proven 98.9% accurate. Accuracy will not be impacted by medication or the use of fertility drugs. FDA reviewed and certified. KNOWHEN is available at Amazon.com, Walmart.com, FSAStore.com, HSAStore.com, Kinney Drug, Knowhen.com and other fine retailers.
