FMB Development Masterfully Integrates Art and Development with Centerpiece Sculpture for New Homes

MARINA DEL REY, Calif.–FMB Development is slated to complete two new luxury homes in Marina Del Rey by November 2017 at 731 and 733 Oxford Ave. Showcasing FMB Development’s commitment to making art a central element of their properties, the area between the two homes will feature a notable, one-of-a-kind sail sculpture crafted by local artist Amos Chomut. The sculpture will situate the new property with the community identity of the Marina’s growing Triangle Park neighborhood.

“Since entering the real estate field, I have had a vision of integrating art into properties in ways that not only beautify them for residents, but also engage the surrounding neighborhood. FMB Development is now realizing that vision,” FMB Development CEO Ilan Kenig said. “The sculpture at these new homes on Oxford captures the beauty and unique ethos of this beach community. We are very proud to bring this striking piece of art into the neighborhood for local residents to enjoy – whether they are out walking their kids to school, taking their dogs to the park, or simply looking out their window.”

These homes will showcase FMB Development’s signature modern architectural design—each boasting approximately 3,000 square feet, high-end finishes, and breathtaking rooftop decks—in addition to the striking sculpture.

“I wanted to create a sculpture through which people could find a personal connection,” said sculptor Amos Chomut. “The sculpture came from my own experiences sailing in the marina with my dad. It is always a powerful feeling when the wind meets the sail to move us over the water. I wanted the sculpture to interact with the community by encouraging a similarly personal connection, evoking the same feeling of motion and freedom.”

Situated only a short walk or bike ride away from Venice beach and Marina Del Rey, the new homes are located in one of L.A.’s most sought-after and growing communities. In line with its strategy to invest in prime Southern California real estate markets, FMB Development has developed a number of iconic properties in the Westside in recent years.
