Gainesville, GA, December 15, 2017 — On Sunday, December 24, 2017, hundreds will gather together for a phenomenal event with one common vision: to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. The first annual Chosen Balloon Release is set to take place at 1:00 p.m. where a worldwide synchronized balloon release will take place. Attached to each balloon will be an encouraging word, scripture, or prayer. Churches across Georgia and as far away as Africa and India are expected to participate. After a prayer, participants will release their balloons at their designated gathering place.

When asked about the importance of the event, Min. Rhonda Whelchel stated, “Someone somewhere in this huge world may need to know that Jesus loves them.”

Pastor W.J. Whelchel, III, Pastor of Hickory Grove C.M.E. Church in Dahlonega, GA is looking forward to this first annual event. “I'm just so proud of what the Chosen Ministry is doing and all their efforts to make every female truly know and understand that no matter what, they are chosen!”

Some of the churches set to participate are Mount Zion Baptist Church, Andrews, NC; Glory Church, Tenali India; Abundant Grace of Jesus Ministry, Nairobi, Kenya, and Joy in Life Ministries, Henryetta, Oklahoma.

These are just a few of the many churches that are involved. The meeting place in Gainesville, Georgia is The Interactive College of Technology located at 2323 Browns Bridge Road. If you would like your church to participate, please contact Min. Rhonda Whelchel.
