eQHealth Solutions Names New Senior Medical Director, Florida Government Operations

BATON ROUGE, La.–eQHealth Solutions, a leader in population health management for government and commercial clients, announced Dr. Sam Ambewadikar, MD, FAAP, MBA has joined the organization as the new Senior Medical Director, Florida Government Operations.

Dr. Ambewadikar is a Board-Certified Pediatrician. Prior to joining eQHealth Solutions, he served as Chief Medical Information Officer in Humana’s Care Delivery Organization and most recently as Medical Director for Healthcare Informatics at DaVita Medical Group of Florida. He has a background in population health analytics and served as Vice President, Clinical Informatics at Verisk Health. Dr. Ambewadikar also served as a Pediatrician and Medical Director at Community Health Centers in Rhode Island and Massachusetts where his clinical practice focused on care for underserved communities. He earned his Medical Doctorate degree from Boston University, School of Medicine and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

In his new role, Dr. Ambewadikar will be working from our Tampa office and will provide clinical oversight and guidance for our Florida government contract team.

They are currently building a homestead from scratch on two little acres in central Texas. There’s a lot to be done to become somewhat self-sufficient, but they are debt-free and get to spend their days living this simple, good life together with their five young children.
