GLENDALE, Calif., Nov. 13, 2017 — The awarding ceremony for the Los Angeles Business Journal's 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies is back dropped by massive glass walls that captures LA's beautiful cityscape. The night is filled with positive energy, a diverse crowd, and great food. The City Club LA's high ceilings and open space is the ideal room for entrepreneurs to socialize, interact, and brainstorm with likeminded people.
LA Business Journal caught up with USA Link System's CEO Ally Spinu for a short interview.
Ally opens the conversation with how the night is the perfect time to celebrate her company's growth. “Last year, ULS ranked 17. Tonight, we're ranked as the eighth fastest growing private company in Los Angeles. This year we're also number one on San Fernando Business Journal's 50 Fastest Growing Private Companies. Next on our list is Inc. 500,” Ally says with a smile.
When asked about her team's secret to their success, Ally attributes their growth to a simple yet complicated process of finding the right people that complement each team member. In this way, Ally continues, “The awards we receive are the ultimate outcome by great individuals who function well in a group setting in the name of exceeding our clients' expectations.” To Ally, however, maintaining a team of writers, designers, and developers who knows how to communicate amongst each other is the most important part of ULS's success. “Our projects and campaigns, whether it's a mobile app or a social media campaign, would only succeed when our team communicates openly with each other,” she continues.
“With the new-found growth and success, do you see your mission and vision statement change,” asks the business journal reporter.
Showing a bit of hesitance answering the question, Ally says, “I believe that a mission statement is true only if all employees are able to provide the same answers to these three crucial questions: What we do, who we do it for, and how we do it. This is when you will know your true mission.”
Ally also emphasizes that a vision statement is different than a mission statement. To Ally and the entire ULS team, a vision statement is a road map on how to achieve one's goal.
USA Link System's goal then as a digital marketing agency is to produce successful brands that make a difference in their communities. Ally explains, “We want to be a business that makes a difference on the companies we work with and in the community. This is why we always try to have an active presence in community events like Glendale Tech Week.”
Ally goes on to say that another reason clients love her team is because of their diversity. They have been able to translate a website in to nine different languages without using translation services. They have several bilingual speakers under one roof. With such a diverse core of employees, ULS has a unique advantage of marketing in the USA and providing marketing outside of the USA.
Ally and ULS can help different businesses from different industries because they already have clients that range from the cleaning industry to the oil industry. From mobile app development to brand awareness, the entire ULS team is confident they can provide businesses the necessary assistance.
The reporter's final question is, “With this much work, how do you do it?”
“This award,” Ally says, “sets a high bar for ourselves to keep on improving. And this is our intention. We keep on improving ourselves by exceeding all our clients' expectations on any given projects.”
