Durga Naidu Celebrates Many Years of Experience in Pediatric Cardiology

    LAFAYETTE, LA, November 14, 2017 — Durga P. Naidu has been included in Marquis Who's Who. For many years, Dr. Naidu has served as a pediatric cardiologist and he recently joined Pediatric Group of Acadiana, where he specializes in fetal cardiology, pediatric cardiography, and pediatric cardiac CT and MRI. Since he was inspired by his father to enter the field, he has excelled on many different professional levels, training in the specialized care of those with congenital heart disease.

A graduate of Guntar Medical College, Dr. Naidu holds an MD, as well as certifications in pediatric cardiology, general pediatrics, neonatal medicine, and healthcare management. After completing his MD, he pursued an internship through St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, and a residency through the Phoenix Children's Hospital. More recently, he completed additional training in fetal cardiology and advanced pediatric non-invasive cardiac imaging through The University of Texas Health Science Center's McGovern Medical School. In order to remain active and engaged among his professional circles, he affiliates himself with the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, the Fetal Heart Society, and the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, as well as many others.

Throughout his many years in the field, Dr. Naidu has participated in many clinical research activities and also published articles in peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for numerous international scientific journals. Notably, he has been recognized many times for professional endeavors. In 2015, he was named a fellow through the American Academy of Pediatrics, and in 2017 he was named a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. In the coming years, Dr. Naidu intends to continue honing his expertise in the field through his research alongside other scholars.

Brad grew up in a small town in northern Iowa. He studied chemistry in college, graduated, and married his wife one month later. They were then blessed with two baby boys within the first four years of marriage. Having babies gave their family a desire to return to the old paths – to nourish their family with traditional, homegrown foods; rid their home of toxic chemicals and petroleum products; and give their boys a chance to know a simple, sustainable way of life.
