SAN RAMON, Calif., December 22, 2017 – Over a third of Americans take some form of vitamin or mineral supplement, spending over $30 billion in total on the products each year. Financial Education Benefits Center, a lifestyle financial and wellness membership benefits company, will be offering a vitamins and supplements discount benefit to members to make accessing these sought-after products easier than ever.

“Multivitamins and supplements are extremely popular right now, and we want to make sure we are in line with the times,” said Jennifer Martinez, manager at FEBC. “We’re offering this discount benefit to give our members more options on something they might already be buying full price.”

Many consumers of multivitamins do so to maintain good health, fill a gap in their diet, or manage a chronic condition. Others do so to manage “digestive issues” or their cholesterol levels. User confidence in multivitamins is high: 86 percent of vitamin and supplement users who responded to a survey said they were “extremely/very confident in the efficacy of supplements.”

Popular vitamin and mineral supplements include vitamin D, calcium, and B vitamins. Other kinds of supplements include fish oils, probiotics, and herb-based supplements like turmeric. Another popular supplement is folic acid, because healthy levels of this vitamin are “critically important” for people trying to become pregnant or who are in the early stages of pregnancy.

The upcoming FEBC vitamins discount benefit will soon be available to members on multiple membership levels. Members will be directed to an online vitamin, supplement, and health food store, and will be able to apply a discount code to already low prices. If they wish, members can request a catalog of products instead of choosing them online. Orders are taken online or by phone.

The discount is not just for vitamins and supplements, however, but also a wide variety of other health products that include organic foods, natural beauty and hygiene products, and even pet health products. Sports enthusiasts will be pleased to find protein powders among the items available for discounts. For FEBC members who prefer products they feel are more natural, or members who favor alternative medicine practices, this benefit could provide savings for products they love.

“This discount benefit will just give you a little savings boost when purchasing your favorite healthy supplements,” said Martinez. “There are thousands of products you can apply the discount to. Your health products—which can get a little pricey if you’re taking them all the time—are now just that much easier to get.”

Brad grew up in a small town in northern Iowa. He studied chemistry in college, graduated, and married his wife one month later. They were then blessed with two baby boys within the first four years of marriage. Having babies gave their family a desire to return to the old paths – to nourish their family with traditional, homegrown foods; rid their home of toxic chemicals and petroleum products; and give their boys a chance to know a simple, sustainable way of life. They are currently building a homestead from scratch on two little acres in central Texas. There’s a lot to be done to become somewhat self-sufficient, but they are debt-free and get to spend their days living this simple, good life together with their five young children.
