TUSCANY – 06-13-2018 (Press Release Jet) — Three new Maisonettes unveiled at Borgo Pignano’s award-winning country estate, near Siena and Florence.

This summer, Borgo Pignano officially unveils three beautifully appointed maisonettes located in the heart of rural Tuscany: Casa del Guardia, La Stallina and L’Antica Stalla each offer elegant accommodation situated within Pignano’s historic hamlet.

Deep in the heart of rural Tuscany lies a privately owned country estate undergoing an impressive and architecturally significant restoration. Already recognised as an award-winning boutique hotel, Pignano’s development programme goes far beyond the grand 18th century villa. Over the past decade, numerous properties have undergone complete restoration, transformed from abandoned ruins at risk of collapse, into elegant accommodation for discerning, international guests. Each project has been masterminded by the estate’s owner Sir Michael Moritz and overseen in impressive detail by the hotel’s CEO Luciano Lusardi.

Over the last couple of years Pignano has completed a stunning SPA located within the village’s ancient well-house, a contemporary art-gallery situated in an old farm building and several luxurious maisonettes each offering fully equipped, five-star accommodation.

Each construction and restoration project has involved a team of experts and artisans using their specialist skills to achieve the very highest level of finish.  This season saw the completion of three large maisonettes, each with their own unique, timeless charm. Throughout the interiors you will find original terracotta flooring, timber-beamed ceilings, open fireplaces and large stone archways leading through to light and airy living spaces. Each maisonette is unique with features including antique furnishings and contemporary artworks.

Borgo Pignano offers a beautiful collection of properties ranging from classic rooms and suites in the 18th century villa, family friendly cottages, luxurious maisonettes and, also a large Tuscan farmhouse ‘La Fonte’.

Brad grew up in a small town in northern Iowa. He studied chemistry in college, graduated, and married his wife one month later. They were then blessed with two baby boys within the first four years of marriage. Having babies gave their family a desire to return to the old paths – to nourish their family with traditional, homegrown foods; rid their home of toxic chemicals and petroleum products; and give their boys a chance to know a simple, sustainable way of life. They are currently building a homestead from scratch on two little acres in central Texas. There’s a lot to be done to become somewhat self-sufficient, but they are debt-free and get to spend their days living this simple, good life together with their five young children.
