Carbondale, CO, January 08, 2018 — Run Wild Retreats + Wellness, a travel company specializing in premier women-only running and wellness retreats in the world’s best trail-running destinations, is launching two new retreats in Ireland Italy this year.

Both retreats cater to the needs of women runners who run to manage stress, improve their physical health and mental well-being. As a result, Run Wild Retreats is becoming known for delivering a specific type of transformational travel experience unique to the running market and sets them apart from typical running camps and running vacations.

The company’s commitment to wellness through transformational travel is supported by research conducted by the Adventure Travel Trade Association, which recently reported that more than ever, adventure travelers seek personal growth, challenge, accomplishment and mindfulness. Transformational travel is an increasingly significant segment of the wellness tourism market, which has grown by 14% in the last two years, according to the Global Wellness Institute.

“The running and travel serve as the conduit through which the women explore their mindset, self-beliefs and attitudes,” says Run Wild Retreats CEO and founder, Elinor Fish. “This inner journey often leads them to realize that they’re so much more capable, adventurous, brave and successful than they believed themselves to be.”

One of two new retreats launching in 2018 is the Italian Dolomites Trail Running + Wellness Retreat (July 9 – 15, 2018), during which runners enjoy daily runs of up to 10 miles on the superb singletrack trails in this stunning high alpine environment, enjoying sweeping mountain views. While one of its more challenging retreats, there is plenty of time post-run for enjoying the fabulous Italian food, exploring the village of Val Badia and participating in wellness workshops with their retreat leader.

Also new is the Ireland Trail Running + Wellness Retreat (September 16 – 22, 2018), which takes runners on some of Ireland’s most scenic and rewarding trail runs in the Wicklow Mountains, along the Cliffs of Moher on the Wild Atlantic Way and through the wilderness of Killarney National Park, including waterfalls, lakes and board walks traversing peat bogs. Runners will enjoy true Irish hospitality, taste lreland’s famous seafood at authentic Irish pubs.

Registration for these and Run Wild Retreats’ other offerings in Spain, Iceland, and the U.S.A. are available now at www.RunWildRetreats.com

Brad grew up in a small town in northern Iowa. He studied chemistry in college, graduated, and married his wife one month later. They were then blessed with two baby boys within the first four years of marriage. Having babies gave their family a desire to return to the old paths – to nourish their family with traditional, homegrown foods; rid their home of toxic chemicals and petroleum products; and give their boys a chance to know a simple, sustainable way of life. They are currently building a homestead from scratch on two little acres in central Texas. There’s a lot to be done to become somewhat self-sufficient, but they are debt-free and get to spend their days living this simple, good life together with their five young children.
