Fort Worth-Arlington, TX February 15, 2018 – Mecca Design & Production, a custom exhibit fabrication company based in Dallas, along with Digital Resources, reveal a custom news set desk for the Sports Broadcasting Department at TCU in Fort Worth, Texas. Mecca designed and fabricated the aluminum framing/skeleton of the desk and customized the finishes with the client’s sustainable, striking choice of Torzo Tiikeri (usually a flooring) plus violet and opalescent solid surface elements to complete the piece to fit right in with the bold TCU backdrop. Tiikeri’s unique tiger-like stripes come from strands of recycled sorghum straw in the panels. The Department of Television, Film, and Digital Media offers a major in sports broadcasting and/or journalism at TCU within the Bob Schieffer College of Communication.

According to Mecca Design & Production’s Kenneth Mecca, “It’s great to utilize unique and sustainable products to create a highly visible element for TCU’s Sports Broadcasting Program.
