Ed McQuiston, executive vice president and chief commercial officer at Hyland, was selected as a bronze winner in the Sales Executive of the Year category of the Best in Biz Awards. The only independent business awards program judged each year by prominent editors and reporters from top-tier publications in North America, McQuiston was recognized for his leadership in expanding Hyland’s global sales and marketing efforts.
With more than 20 years of experience in the information management and advanced capture industries, McQuiston focuses on aligning Hyland’s global sales and marketing programs and vertical-specific initiatives with worldwide trends. This forward-thinking approach to integrate the sales and marketing departments has yielded tremendous results for Hyland, which grew at an accelerated pace in the last year with a 17 percent total revenue increase in 2016. McQuiston led the company’s sales and marketing strategy to achieve double-digit growth in multiple areas including increasing software as a service (SaaS) revenue by 72 percent and professional services by 33 percent. Additionally, Hyland logged a 15 percent compound annual growth rate over the past five years under McQuiston’s leadership.
