NFC West champion Los Angeles Rams have added another pro in their team after acquiring well-known cornerbacks like Aquib Talib and Marcus Peters.
Rams made the announcement that they signed a one-year contract with Ndamukong Suh, the three-time All-pro.
According to reports, the deal amount is about $14 million for one season. Suh was the number 2 pick of Detroit in the year 2010.
The 31-year-old Suh was with Miami Dolphins until March this year. He was released during the salary cap sell-off. During his 8 NFL seasons, he has earned five pro-bowl appearances and 3 first-team All-Pro nods.
It is expected that Suh will form the best defensive front with the current NFL defensive player of the year Aaron Donald. Suh also received offers from teams such as New Orleans Saints, Tennessee Titans.
The major issue is how Donald is going to handle this. Donald is trying for an increase from the $6.9 million deal in his final rookie year. To double pay for Suh, things are not going to be easy.
With the new contract with Rams, Suh has become one of the highest paid defensive tackles. While Suh stands among the highest paid eight, Donald comes only among the highest paid twenty.
However, the Rams fans will be happy with the new addition to the team.
